The United Pentecostal Church International is distinct as the largest Oneness Pentecostal body, teaching that God is one person and that baptism must be administered in the name of Jesus Christ.
The United Pentecostal Church International was formed in 1945 by the merger of the Pentecostal Church, Incorporated and the Pentecostal Assemblies of Jesus Christ. It rejects the doctrine of the Trinity as a later development and teaches that speaking in tongues is the initial evidence of receiving the Holy Spirit. Its headquarters are in Weldon Spring, Missouri.
