The Christian World View
Historic Christianity confesses one God who created all things, who entered history in Jesus Christ, and who restores humanity through Christ's death and resurrection.
Christianity centers on Jesus of Nazareth, confessed as Lord and Christ. Across its major divisions — Catholic, Orthodox, and Protestant — Christians share a historic core: one God who made all things, humanity made in God's image, salvation in Christ, and the hope of eternal life.
Ultimate Reality
One eternal, personal God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, three persons and one God — created everything from nothing and sustains it still. God is holy, just, and merciful, and his creation is good, real, and distinct from himself.
The Human Condition
Human beings bear God's image and were made for fellowship with him. Sin has marred that image, bringing guilt, broken relationships, suffering, and death. We cannot repair the breach or earn our way back; we need to be rescued.
Knowledge and Truth
Truth is real and can be known, because God has made himself known: in creation and conscience, supremely in Jesus Christ, and in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments. Faith and reason belong together.
Right and Wrong
Right and wrong rest on God's character and commands, summed up as loving God fully and loving one's neighbor as oneself. Jesus taught honesty, mercy, purity, forgiveness, and practical care for the poor and for enemies.
Human Destiny
Death is not the end. Christians await Christ's return, the resurrection of the dead, the final judgment, and a renewed creation where God dwells with his people forever. Eternal life with God is his gift in Christ.
The Conversation
This is the world view this site exists to present. Our prayer is the prayer of Jesus, that all who believe in him may be one (John 17:20). We invite Christians of every division to own what we share, face our differences honestly, and grow toward that unity.
