Shvetambara

The white-clad branch, which keeps the canon the councils preserved, clothes its monks in white, and holds that women may be liberated in a woman's body.

Shvetambara Jainism is the branch of the north and west, the keeper of the Agamas and the tradition of the councils at Pataliputra and Valabhi. Its sub-branches divided over image worship itself, the standing question of its later centuries.
