ISKCON

The International Society for Krishna Consciousness, founded in New York in 1966, which carried the Gaudiya devotion of Chaitanya to the world.

ISKCON descends from the Gaudiya Vaishnava line of Chaitanya through Bhaktivinoda and Bhaktisiddhanta to A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, who founded it in 1966. Its temples, festivals, and book distribution made Krishna devotion a worldwide presence.
