It is a fundamentalist Baptist association formed in 1932 by churches that withdrew from the Northern Baptist Convention over theological modernism.
The General Association of Regular Baptist Churches was founded in 1932 as a fellowship of independent Baptist churches committed to biblical inerrancy and separation from theological liberalism. Member churches remain autonomous and associate voluntarily for missions, publications, and fellowship. Its doctrinal position is stated in its Articles of Faith.
