In 1878 Friedrich Engels publishes Anti-Dühring, his polemic against Eugen Dühring's rival system, serialized in the party paper Vorwärts. The book, read and approved by Marx, is where Marxism becomes a system: dialectics of nature, historical materialism, and scientific socialism in one exposition, the form in which the Second International learns it.

Marxism
