The Word of God like a sword penetrates Triune Man

The passage
The word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And no creature is hidden from His sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
Where it stands
Hebrews 4 closes the letter's warning from Psalm 95 about entering God's rest. The sword of the word is the passage's final word on that warning: the God who speaks is the God who sees, and His word reaches every part of the person it addresses.
