Yes, it is clear from careful scholarship of both the Old and New Testaments that the trinity is a necessary doctrine of orthodox Christian Monotheism. In fact, it is the only religion which holds that God is simultaneously one and three, that is, 3 persons in one nature, or 3 whos in one what. Aid to the Church in Need launched its report Persecuted and Forgotten? on October 27, 2026. It finds that persecution of Christians worsened in more than half the countries surveyed over two years, and improved in none.
