It is the West Syriac Oriental Orthodox church, headed by the Patriarch of Antioch and All the East now based in Damascus.
The Syriac Orthodox Church traces its origin to the ancient church of Antioch and preserves the West Syriac liturgical tradition in Syriac and local languages. After the divisions following the Council of Chalcedon, its patriarchate was sustained in monasteries and dioceses across Mesopotamia, Syria, Turkey, and India, with a large modern diaspora.
