The Bruderhof is distinct among Anabaptist bodies in that its members live in intentional communities and hold all property in common.
The Bruderhof was founded by Eberhard Arnold in Germany in 1920 and now has communities in several countries. Its members practice community of goods, nonviolence, and common work, worship, and meals, following the example of the early church described in Acts.
