On the death of Acharya Mahapragya in 2010, the tenth acharya of the Terapanth, his disciple Acharya Mahashraman succeeded as the eleventh, keeping the order's discipline under a single teacher's authority as Bhikshu's rule requires. His journeys on foot across India, the Ahimsa Yatra, carried the Terapanthi teaching of nonviolence through hundreds of towns and villages.
