The classical language of one of the oldest Christian nations, and still its liturgical language.
Georgia received the Gospel early, and its Bible translation is among the oldest in Christendom. Classical Georgian, written in the ecclesiastical Khutsuri scripts, remains the language of Georgian Orthodox worship.
